About Velden
Velden is located in the state of Carinthia, also known as the sunny south of Austria. While on holiday, you’ll feel right at home along the versatile Wörthersee. The 17 km long lake is located in the hilly landscape of the border triangle connecting Austria, Italy and Slovenia.
The Wörthersee is the biggest lake suitable for swimming in Carinthia and is situated at an altitude of 439 meters. The turquoise blue water is of drinking water quality and is about 25 degrees in the summer.
